I can’t thank you enough for building my 1970 Pontiac 400 with 10.75 to 1 compression, new Edelbrock performer rpm manifold, new Edelbrock 750 carburetor, and speed pro forged pistons. You painted it the correct Pontiac blue and it arrived beautifully put together. Thanks for taking the time to build me exactly what I wanted. The engine has worked great now for 4 years or so and has plenty of power(probably around 400hp). It even held together when I accidentally revved it to 7000 rpm a couple of times. That video of it bench revving to 7200 is unreal. I installed back in my 67 GTO and it looks fantastic. It is usually one of the best looking engines at cruise nights. I am enclosing some pics for you. Also, I can’t believe you built such a great engine with so many new parts for the low price you charged. It cost me 30% less than if I had built it in New Orleans including the shipping both ways By the way, I might be ready to take another step for even more power. What would suggest next? I could send you the heads for porting and swap the cam for something more radical. The current cam is an angle with about 228 and a low lift of .49. It is pretty tame and I would like something with more of a lope. It is strictly a street cruiser, so I don’t want to sacrifice too much drivability. Could you stroke this engine out for more cubes than the current 412? Or would you suggest I get a 455 block and stroke this for monster torque with great drivability? If I do a 455 I will want to add a turbo at some point when I can afford it. Glad your business is doing well. I always recommend your shop to every single person I meet that needs any type of performance engine build. You are the best. No one else will ever build my engines.

Doug And Steve,

 

Just a few lines to let you know the motor has been installed. The motor is in creditable. Although I haven't wound it over 4200 rpm. it is smooth and responsive and has a bit of an attitude. I've matched it to a 200r4 extreme duty OD transmission, and a Chevy 12 bolt possi rear-end with 4.10 gears (3000 rpm=78 mph) added a 4 row desert-cooler radiator temp runs 176 to 180 on the highway 190 around town in traffic. 

Just wanted to thank you guys for the excellent work and craftsmanship. It was well worth the wait the accolades I have received many and complimentary I'll recommend you to anybody.

If you are a car fan and watch the Speed Channel on Cable or Satellite you have probably seen the program "Dream Car Garage"..... and you have probably seen this fellow, Tom Hnatiw.     

He was at the Walter Mitty races at Road Atlanta interviewing the Superformance Cobra Dealer that is located right across from the track.  They had a display right across from FFR's display where our car was sitting. David [my 40 year old son] was standing over there talking to someone and I was on my way back from the toilet - walked up and he said "This must be the elder Krueger." [or something like that]. I said: "Yep that's me, and that's my Blue Cobra over there with the 351 Windsor from Pro-Formance Unlimited in Ocean, NJ." He said: "Oh, yea - we just had Pro-Formance build us an engine for a project car on the show." I said "Yea - they are a great company and build engines for celebrities all over the world."  He said: "Well, here comes the cameraman - I have to get to work!" The program is on at 10:00 pm tonight - but I doubt they can air this quick. Tonight's program will be about Superformance and Carroll Shelby's new relationship!

It was a pleasure meeting you guys when I picked up my engine when I pulled up and saw the engine sitting there I was amazed it stopped me in my tracks I can't believe the quality and craftsmanship of the engine you guys are awesome I would recommend you in a heartbeat to anybody when I dropped the engine off at my sons work every mechanic in the shop stopped what they were doing to look at this masterpiece they could not believe what this engine looked like they were drooling over this engine when they ask me where I bought it from I proudly said Proformance Unlimited once again I would like to thank you guys for one hell of a engine job well done when this project is done I will send the camera back to you once again great work thank you so much.

This e mail goes to all at Proformance Unlimited. I recently purchased a 461 Pontiac stoker and I want to tell you that I was absolutely overcome with the performance that this motor makes. I put the motor in my 66 GTO and fired it up. On the very first try it came to life and was an instant success. At first it sounded very much like a “Pro Stocker” but after the Police came and told me to quiet it down we hooked up the rest of the exhaust, now it sounded more like a Pro Stocker with Mufflers on!

The care and Professionalism you showed during the building process was amazing to me. In a day and age where money talks and you walk, you guys showed me how customer service is really supposed to be. The engine runs consistent at 180 degrees with 75 lbs. Of oil pressure @ 3k rpm, the vacuum canister was a necessity due to the larger cam. I have nothing but “Rave Reviews” about this engine and I hope I can generate some bus. Your way from the shows this will be in. Once again, Thanks for the experience.

All the bugs are worked out and here in Italy all the rich Italians in their Ferrari's and Porches just stop and stare in total amazement when I come through town with the wicked 1987 WildStang powered by your 347 Stroker! This car runs soooooo strong the smiles are never ending! Thanks for all your support and help getting the motor here to Italy and helping my Italian mechanic's finally get the job completed. You truly run a 1st class organization! With your motor I'm doing American Muscle Cars proud in Italy! Thanks!
